The Magical Results of a Brave Photoshoot Near an Active Volcano

Anna Isabella Christensen, an Iceland-based photographer, hiked no less than 25 times to the site of the active volcano
Fagradalsfjall to take a series of self-portraits in front of the rare natural phenomenon. The results are a series of 10 magical, otherworldly, and almost surreal portraits that demonstrate the magnitude of mother nature's power.
The photographs are completely natural, meaning that they were not manipulated or tweaked using computer software. Her aim is to symbolize "rebirth and letting go of the old." Is this photoshoot brave or a little too careless? Either way, the results are breathtaking.
