Have you heard about the chocolate box thief? He’s always got a few Twix up his sleeve.
Get Out of My Car
(This is supposedly a true account recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida):
An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"
The four men didn't wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.
The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then she realized why. It was for the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee, and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat.
A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.
She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a carjacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun. No charges were filed.
Moral of the story? If you're going to have a senior moment... make it memorable!
King Hero of old Syracuse had doubts that made him frown. "Perhaps my goldsmith did not use pure gold to make the crown." Since proof of mischief must be strong to put a thief in collar, The king who feared his judgment wrong called on his science scholar. "Archimedes, friend of old, find me the solution! Is my crown pure solid gold, or is that an illusion?" The scholar's task was serious; he struggled hard with math. His mind was near delirious until he poured his bath. He noticed how the water pushed him up as he stepped in. He thought about it harder as he stroked his bearded chin. "The weight of displaced liquid should always let me know When any golden solid has a density too low!" "Eureka!", he resounded. "I have such a clever mind". Yet his claim was unfounded 'cause he left his clothes behind!
Why didn’t the horse tell her friend she was a thief? She didn’t want to saddle her with that information.
A Politician At the Chocolate Store
Once upon a time there was a thief and a politician who were friends. One day, they entered a chocolate store.
While they were busy looking around, the thief stole 3 chocolate bars.
As they left the store, the thief said to the politician: "Man! I'm the best thief ever, I stole 3 chocolates and no one saw me. You can't beat that."
The politician replied: "You wanna see something better? Let's go back to the shop and I'll show you real stealing."
So they went to the counter and politician said to the shopkeeper: "Hey do you wanna see magic?"
The Shop keeper replied: "Sure!"
The politician says: "Give me one chocolate bar!"
The shop keeper gave him one, and he ate it. He asked for a second, and he ate that as well.. He asked a third, and finished that one too.
The shop keeper asked: "But where's the magic?"
The politician replied: "Check in my friend's pocket, and you'll find it!"
