Living in this high tech world, travel is made easy with apps like Uber and Lyft that allow you to summon cars to your location like Cinderella's horse-drawn carriage, blossoming from mice and pumpkins at her feet. To many, it seems like the old school yellow taxi cabs that made the city of New York and Robert De Niro famous are going the way of malls and landlines. However, taxis very much continue to roam the streets of most major metropolitan cities.
While app-based ride-sharing systems are immensely popular, there is no shortage of people in need of a ride in cities. In fact, if you're lucky, you may even find yourself facing one of these rare and absolutely unique taxis. Spread all across the globe are these mostly yellow and black but often multicolored creative geniuses that make traveling that much more fun and are undoubtedly the wackiest taxis you will ever see in your life.
