1. The ARADS Rover
In the image above, you can see the Atacama Rover Astrobiology Drilling Studies (ARADS) rover testing its drilling techniques in the Atacama Desert, Chile, as the moon begins to rise in the distance.
2. Airplane Noise Evaluations
Here you can see NASA's Commercial Supersonic Technology project, which is used to work out just how much noise future aircraft will give off during takeoff, flight, and landing. One of its primary tasks is to reduce the amount of noise that aircraft engine exhaust makes.
3. The Dragon Lifts Off
On June 29th, 2018, SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft started its journey towards the International Space Station, carrying over 5,900 pounds of equipment, supplies, cargo, and research.

5. Testing Solar Arrays
The solar arrays seen here are from the InSight Mars mission, which will help NASA researchers understand how rocky planets are formed over millions of years.
6. An Einstein Ring
Pictured above is an Einstein Ring, which is a graceful arc that forms a light from distant galaxies begins to wrap itself around a huge mass, such as a cluster of galaxies in this case.
7. The Matara Crater
Here you can see gullies that have formed in the sand dunes of Mars' Matara Crater, which have been changing form frequently over the last ten years.
8. Space Vegetables
The International Space Station has two vegetable growing facilities running at once, where they have successfully grown red romaine lettuce, mizuna, and Tokyo bekana cabbage.
9. Aurora STEVE
NASA scientists have named this aurora STEVE, which stands for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement.
10. Space Station Construction
Here you can see Robert Curbeam, a NASA astronaut, performing construction work on the International Space Station's S1 truss, way back in 2006.
11. TESS the Planet-Hunter
TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) is what the future of planet-hunting looks like, and will soon be used to search for planets far beyond our own solar system, especially those that could possibly sustain any kind of life.
12. A Black Hole in the Milky Way
Above, you can see an image of a black hole called Bounty, which has been discovered in the center of our galaxy, thanks to NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory.
13. The Crew of Expedition 54
Here you can see all six members of the Expedition 54 crew, literally hanging out inside the Japanese Kibo laboratory module on February 18th, 2018.
14. The Parker Solar Probe Preparation
Here you can see the Parker Solar Probe being lowered into a 40-foot-high thermal vacuum chamber at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, where it will experience a simulation of extremely harsh conditions that may arise during space travel.
15. A Star Being Torn Apart by a Black Hole
What you can see here is a rendition made by a NASA artist of a tidal disruption event known as ASASSN-14li. The event was caused by a star traveling too close to a massive black hole, which resulted in the star being torn to pieces, leaving only some debris in a ring around the black hole.
