Rice Cooker Country-Style Ribs

Your rice cooker may be your most verstile kitchen appliance.  This is because a typical rice cooker can be used to cook much more than just plain old rice. Here, we suggest an incredible dish that guests will never believe was cooked in your rice cooker - mouth-watering country-style pork ribs! This savory and sweet meal will melt in your mouth and is super-easy to make.

Rice Cooker Country-Style Ribs
Ingredients:
Pork ribs - 2 lbs(1 kg)
Olive oil - 2 tbsp.
Stout - 12 oz. (or dark beer)
Brown sugar - 3/4 cup
Barbecue sauce - 2/3 cup (thick and spicy)
Method of Preparation:
  1. Add some olive oil to the bottom of the pan and turn on the heat.
  2. Add all of the brown sugar to a bowl and roll the ribs around in it, making sure to coat them entirely.
  3. Add in all of the beer and both of the sauces. Secure your rice cooker's lid on, and press 'cook'.
  4. After about an hour, turn off the heat and let the ribs stand for about 15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
