Baked Tilapia

Tilapia is a tasty fish with several health benefits. It is high in vitamin B12 while being low in fat, saturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids, calories, carbohydrates, and sodium. This baked Tilapia recipe is quick and easy to make and is light, fresh, and delicious.

Baked Tilapia
Ingredients for Baked Tilapia:
Tilapia - 4 fillets (6 oz. each)
Coconut butter - 3 tbsp. (melted)
Lemon juice - 3 tbsp.
Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp.
Salt - 1/8 tsp.
Capers - 2 tbsp. (drained)
Oregano - 1/2 tsp. (dried)
Paprika - 1/8 tsp.
Method of preparing the Baked Tilapia:
  1. Place the tilapia in an ungreased 13x9-in baking dish. Next combine the butter, lemon juice, garlic powder and salt in a small bowl. Pour the mixture pour over the fillets. Sprinkle with capers, oregano and paprika.
  2. Bake uncovered at 425°F (220°C) for 10-15 minutes. You will know it's done when the flesh turns white and begins to easily flake with a fork. Serve immediately.
Chef's Tip:
Serve it with asparagus, green beans, and rice pilaf. This recipe will work on any white fresh water fish.
