During the 1950’s & 60’s, Acclaimed photographer Fan Ho took pictures of the nitty-gritty life in streets of Hong Kong. The pictures are so raw and honest, they can take you back to that point in time and let you feel how it was really like to live in 1950’s Hong Kong. These photos and many more were published in his book “Fan Ho: A Hong Kong Memoir“. Enjoy. |

Although Hong Kong has been returned to Chinese control in 1997, during the 1950s it was still under British rule. The British took back control of Hong Kong in 1945, ending a Japanese occupation during the second world war. |
