Everybody needs a little (or a lot) of love in their life, and dogs are certainly no exception! Unfortunately, not everyone understands this fundamental concept, which is why we often hear about terrible cases of animal abuse happening around the world. One poor animal that went through such abuse is a beautiful dog called Nora, who went through such a horrible ordeal that she is now scared of practically every living thing.
There is, however, one exception... Apparently, the only person that Nora feels comfortable around is her new owner's infant son, Archie. According to Archie's mom, Elizabeth, the pair of them are inseparable and says that "if Archie is having a bath, Nora is lying on the bathmat waiting for him to get out. If I’m nursing him she wants up on my lap, too.”
Luckily for us, Elizabeth has captured plenty of adorable photos of the two of them together, and here are some of the best:

When Elizabeth's family adopted Nora, they immediately noticed that she wasn't the same as their other pets.
They found out that her previous owners had been so abusive that Nora was left traumatized.
This sweet little English Pointer was scared of everyone she met...
...until the adorable baby Archie was born.
Elizabeth says that “Archie is an extremely laid-back, happy, good-natured baby and all the animals seem to really respond to that, particularly Nora.”
“She came from an abusive background and is afraid of almost everything. Not Archie, though. She absolutely adores him.”
Now that they're best friends, it seems like nothing could ever tear the two apart.
“If Archie is having a bath, Nora is lying on the bathmat waiting for him to get out.”
“If I’m nursing him she wants up on my lap, too.”
Now that Archie's grown a little older, absolutely nothing has changed whatsoever.
“If he’s going through my cupboards throwing all the dishes on the floor, she’ll be there cheering him on.”
“We taught the kids from a very young age to respect the dogs and to treat them well."
“The dogs trust and love the kids very much and are quite comfortable hanging out with them in any manner.”
