5 Super Fun Disney Theme Rides in the US

For anyone who is a fan of the magical world created by Walt Disney, Orlando is the place to be. Actually, it’s a great destination for anyone who is looking for a series of incredible adventures. Based off of the stories of our favorite characters, these 5 theme attractions let you ride alongside them and live out fantastical expeditions.

1. Pirates of the Caribbean

This is one of my favorite rides, and it can be found in both the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland, California. The original design for the ride was made decades ago and was largely overseen by Walt Disney himself.

The ride eventually became the inspiration for the movies starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Orlando Bloom. The movies, in turn, inspired the curators of the amusement park to redesign the ride and amp it up to suit the fast-paced movies. This theme ride is an action-packed escapade, complete with the theme song.

2. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Much like the name suggests, this particular theme attraction is an entire world following the life and times of the Chosen Boy of the Wizarding World, Harry Potter.

Journey into a world forbidden to us muggles, travel through the halls of Hogwarts, fight a few fire-breathing dragons, and finally, face off with the big baddy himself, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! This world even has a few short roller coasters for the adrenaline-seeking Potterheads out there!

3. Star Tours!

Much like the Star Wars stories themselves, from the books, movies, and shows, this ride gives you a new adventure every time you get on. Each jump into hyperspace is built to take you on a different journey, with a random sequence generator feeding various different storylines into the simulator.

Star Tours debuted soon after the movies did, in 1987, but has since been revamped in both Disneyworld, in Orlando, Florida, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

4. Avatar, Flight of Passage

Flight of Passage is one of the many fun rides part of the “Pandora: World of Avatar”, a huge multi-faceted attraction based on the movie “Avatar”. This particular ride makes use of the conceptual “flying theater” in a new and unique way.

Flight of Passage allows you to go on a journey through the kingdom of Pandora, flying on the back of a Banshee, with full sensory experiences to go along with it so you can feel every beating of their wings.

5.Indiana Jones Adventure

Let's take a small break from Orlando, and go a little bit down south to Kissimmee, Florida, where the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost is located, another treasure of Disneyland.

Indy’s Adventure is one of the crowning achievements of the Disney theme rides and comes with ultra-realistic sets and special effects. The best part about this ride is the use of Enhanced Motion Vehicles, that take you on Indy’s bumpy travels right alongside him.
