On January 5th, 2015, NASA aimed the Hubble Space Telescope at the Andromeda Galaxy and took the biggest picture ever taken of it. The image size was 1.5 billion pixels, and even though it only shows one small part of Andromeda, astronomers counted over 100 million stars in that section alone.
