Cheddar Garlic Puffs

This one will go great with any of our dips. Check them out by clicking here. These puffs are the homemade version of the Red Lobster biscuits. We're not sure we can nail that too accurately, but for 30-minute biscuits, we'll take the bargain!

Prep Time 15 minutes
Serves: 12
Difficulty Level: Low
Ingredients for puffs:
Baking powder - 2 tsp.
Salt and Pepper - as needed
Garlic powder - 1 tsp. (divided)
Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup (cold and cubed)
Cheddar cheese - 1 cup
Milk - 3/4 cup (cold)
Butter - 3 tbsp. (melted)
Method of preparing the puffs:
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Mash the butter in with a fork.
  3. Add the milk and cheddar. Make balls and scatter them on the baking sheet. Mix the melted butter with the remaining 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and brush on the balls.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes. You can brush with more of the butter mixture before serving.
