Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Take your mashed potatoes to a whole new level, simply by adding cream cheese. It gives the dish a wonderful creamy melty texture that would feel almost gourmet. Ingredients for Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes:
Potato - 3 lbs. (cut into 1-inch pieces)
Cream cheese - 4 oz. (half a brick)
Whipping cream - 1/3 cup
Butter - 4 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Method of preparing the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes:
  1. In a large pot, add the potatoes and cover them with water. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat. Now, reduce the heat to medium-high and continue to boil for 15 minutes.
  2. Once the potatoes are soft, drain the water then return them to the pot.
  3. Add the cream cheese, whipping cream, and butter. Now mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Season to taste with salt. Stir the salt through the potatoes.
