Young Korean artist Jeeyoung Lee has recently displayed her unique and surreal artistic presentation, free from any digital manipulation or use of photoshop, this magical exhibition is called "Stage of Mind".
Lee has taken hey little studio room (3.6 x 4.1 x 2.4) and has transformed it, in a series of arresting and highly dramatic photographs, into a surrealistic world with intense views that position the artist herself in a fantastically designed situation. In her work, Lee resurrects many traditional Korean mythologies and fairytales as well as other cultural heritages from around the world.

Panic Room is connected to some of the artists' earliest memories and dreams and coveys the way she saw the world as a child, with swirling patterns, objects flying off in all directions in an absurd dizziness.

Broken Heart is a visual representation of a famous Korean saying: “like breaking a stone with an egg” – meaning making an ineffectual effort against insurmountable challenges.

This piece is based upon a Korean fable in which a tiger chases desperate children into a well. A god lowered a rope from the sky by which the child escaped, but when the tiger cried out for help, a rotten rope was lowered, condemning the tiger to a miserable fate. Lee used painted fans for this meticulous arrangement.
