Meet Mantra, a street artist from Metz, France with a unique point of view and a special talent. Through years of practice, Mantra has developed the skills to work on any manner of canvases, surfaces of varying materials and sizes, making him a prolific artist on the streets, and one of the most popular avant-garde artists in Europe currently. While he has engaged in numerous projects over the last few years, the project that gained him the most fame and perhaps his best work to date is his Butterfly Collection.
This project, unveiled in 2018, consisted of a series of hyper-realistic butterfly portraits, painted to resemble museum and science exhibits that display the colors of these beautiful creatures prominently. These massive butterfly murals can be found in numerous countries across the world, including Austria, the United States, and of course, his homeland, France. These photographs of his incomparable displays will have you travel the world.
