Although the canvas artist Tal Peleg uses for her work is rather small, she utilizes it in the best way possible. Peleg is a makeup artist, whose signature style is creating intricate works of art on eyelids. If you think the shape or size of this canvas limits her, the opposite is true. Peleg’s eyelid creations are full of detail and color, and she uses those ‘limitations’ to her advantage.
Her work often features references to pop culture or fairy tales, so her pieces tell a story. In a statement to Bored Panda, Tal shared: "I always loved art and makeup, so painting on the eye was my way of mixing these passions. I use the eyelid as a canvas to tell a story and to inspire people. I started many years ago by painting animals and fairy tales on the eyes, and over time, my eye art has become more and more detailed and challenging”.
