The pictures are so raw and honest, they can take you back to that point in time and let you feel how it was really like to live in 1950’s Hong Kong. Although Hong Kong has been returned to Chinese control in 1997, during the 1950s it was still under British rule. The British took back control of Hong Kong in 1945, ending a Japanese occupation during the second world war. |

It is amazing to think how Hong Kong has changed in the last half century, from these humble buildings to the titan of commerce it is today, with huge skyscrapers reaching up to the heavens. |
