French-Style Garlic Croutons

If store-bought croutons are too simple for your taste, you’re welcome to try this French-style crouton recipe. The wonderful aroma that will fill your house will stimulate your taste buds and have you snacking on them for no reason.

Ingredients for French-Style Garlic Croutons:
Bread - 5 cups (cut into cubes)
Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp.
Olive oil - 2 tbsp.
Garlic - 2 cloves (crushed)
Parsley - 1 tbsp. (chopped)
Salt - 1/4 tsp.
Ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp.
Method of preparing the French-Style Garlic Croutons:
  1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat and add butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in the pan until the butter is completely melted.
  3. Remove the pan from the flame, transfer the mixture to a bowl and set it aside to cool.
  4. After the mixture has cooled, pour it over the bread cubes in a new bowl and mix well.
  5. Lay the bread cubes in one layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in a 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the croutons to cool.
Chef's Tip:
These croutons can be kept in a sealed container for up to a week.
