The beauty of fantasy novels is that they have the ability to transport you to other worlds, but what if you could live in another realm every single day? Well, Oregon artist and house developer Ed Bemis has managed to make that possible. Tucked away in the beautiful foothills of Ashland, Oregon, sits Shining Hand Ranch, a whimsical home that’s so detailed it’s fit for the royalty from your favorite books.
This stunning home was completely custom made by local artists and incorporates eco-friendly features. For example, the house and pool are heated and cooled with the use of geothermal energy. The intricate, hand-made pieces are the cornerstone of what makes this house totally unique – Bemis spent 18 months carving the Brazilian mahogany-arched front door.
The 8,881-square-foot property spans across 706 acres, enough you to keep that pet dragon on! Take a tour of this stunning house below, and if you have $7.6 million to spare, why don’t you buy it?
The maple and cherry floors give the illusion of a flowing stream.
The elaborate staircase above was carved from manzanita branches.
Fire and ice style mosaic dragons are one of the most intricate house features.
There's also a view to die for!
