In 2016, Dr. Deirdre Barrett, a teacher and a Clinical and Evolutionary Psychologist at Harvard Medical School, enlightened us about out pets’ dreams. As it turns out, cats and dogs dream a lot like humans, subconsciously pondering the things that matter most to them during sleep, which means they are thinking about us even when they have their eyes closed.
“Humans dream about the same things they’re interested in by day, though more visually and less logically. There’s no reason to think animals are any different. Since dogs are generally extremely attached to their human owners, it’s likely your dog is dreaming of your face,” Barrett declares.
