Mayonnaise is the perfect sauce for sandwiches and salads, and with this recipe, you’ll be able to create a wonderful homemade version of it. It has a mild, clean flavor and a pleasant custardy texture. Homemade mayo can be extra creamy and can be much more flavorful than anything you can buy at the store.

Ingredients for Homemade Mayonnaise:

Eggs - 1

Vinegar - 2 tbs

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Olive oil - 3/4 cup

Method of preparing the Homemade Mayonnaise:

Place the egg, vinegar, and salt in a blender and blend on the highest speed for 10 seconds.
Lower the speed and slowly pour the olive oil into the blender. Keep blending for 30 seconds until a thick consistency is reached.
The mayonnaise will stay fresh for 2-4 weeks.

Chef's Tip:

Make sure you blend the mayonnaise thoroughly or else it might become a little runny. Blending it properly will ensure that the emulsifier brings the water and oil together.
