Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
Salt - 1 tsp.
Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
Unsalted butter - 1/4 cup (softened)

Pecans - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Nutmeg - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparing the French Toast:

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, pecans, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and nutmeg. This is your topping.
  4. When ready to bake, crumble the topping mixture over the top of the soaked bread. Cover and cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.
