Rice Cooker Fall Oatmeal

What better way to start your day than a nice and warm bowl of oatmeal, right? Oats provide us with important nutrients like thiamin, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, selenium, and iron. They are also naturally gluten-free and can help you lose weight. This is why oatmeal makes for an easy, balanced breakfast. 

However, not everyone enjoys the taste of simple oatmeal. Well, this rice cooker oatmeal recipe will change their mind. Apart from healthy oats, it also contains apples, cinnamon, and nectar. This dish is creamy, sweet, hearty, and loaded with flavor. Preparation time is only 2-3 minutes!

Rice Cooker Fall Oatmeal
Ingredients for oatmeal:
Rolled Oats - 1 cup
Apples - 1 cup
Ground flaxseed - 2 tbsp.
Agave nectar - 1 tbsp. (or honey)
Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
Water - 2 cups
Sea salt - 1 pinch
Method of preparing the oatmeal:
  1. Add all ingredients to rice cooker. Stir well to combine. Close the lid and cook for 30 minutes using the steam/cook or porridge setting (or the rice setting if that's what you have).
  2. The oatmeal will be done when the rice cooker beeps. Let it sit for a few minutes, then test and adjust seasoning as needed. Stir well and enjoy.
