Being an aspiring photographer has never been more accessible. With the help of technology, almost everyone is constantly walking around with a camera in their pocket. I mean the camera attached to our cellphones, of course. Granted, some phones have a more high-quality camera than others, but the fact that the tool of photography is so handy has definitely helped some people discover their talent.
The ones to recognize this potential were the founders of IPPAWARDS, who launched the iPhone Photography Awards in 2007, the year the very first iPhone came out. Today it is the most prestigious iPhone photography competition. There are 4 overall winners (Grand Prize, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) as well as 3 winners in each separate category.
