Travel To The Ancient Shiratani Unsuikyo Forest In Japan

Japanese photographer Yuichi Yokota set out to the Shiratani Unsuikyo forest in Yakushima, Japan to take amazing shots of the subtropical forest on Yakushima island. This is a cedar forest containing many ancient trees, some are even older than 1,000 years. If a 1,000-year-old tree doesn't impress you let us also tell you that the oldest trees in this forest can be as old as 7,000 years. Incredible!

Yuichi Yokota started photographing as a hobby when he was 18 and now he works with the largest companies in the world such as Apple, Google, and SONY. He likes taking landscape photos and he hopes that his photo series of the Shiratani Unsuikyo forest will attract more tourists from overseas to this forest.
