Champagne Margaritas

Champagne is the signature ​New Year's Eve drink, but having the same drink every year can get a bit boring. This cocktail is a delicious twist on the traditional margarita - combine the wonderful flavors of these two all-time favorites into one fun cocktail. It will make your New Year's Eve party a little more special!

Ingredients for Champagne Margaritas:
Raw sugar - 1 tsp.
Granulated sugar - 1 tsp.
Lime juice - 4 tsp. (sweetened to taste)
White tequila - 2 oz.
Triple sec - 2 oz.
Brut champagne - 6 oz. (or sparkling wine)
Lime - 2 wedges
Method of preparing the Champagne Margaritas:
  1. Sugar the rims of the glasses. To do so, combine the raw sugar and granulated sugar in a dish. Dip each rim into lime juice and then sugar to coat and set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the lime juice, tequila, and Triple Sec. Also, add the fresh lime juice and the champagne and gently shake two or three times. Once done, strain the mix into the prepared glasses, garnishing each with a lime wedge.
