Many consider the hedgehog to be an exotic animal, one that would never be admitted in the house, for fear of its quills, if nothing else. But hedgehogs have been domesticated as far back as the Roman empire, who grew them for meat and quills. These days, domesticated hedgehogs are not that rare, although they require a lot of room and special, delicate care. Besides, looking at these cute photos of their little faces and tiny feet, I'm really starting to consider getting one!
