Over the past few years, an exceptionally sweet new genre of comic illustrations has emerged. I like to call them wholesome comics – short comic strips featuring cuddly animals being good friends. You can see it in Liz Climo‘s works, as well as in the works of Chow Hon Lam, a Malaysian artist who created the Buddy Gator comics.
Buddy gator is the friendliest chubby alligator in the world. In each comic strip, he finds a new way to make his friends smile and feel welcome. I think everyone deserves a friend like him, and so does his creator, who says “everyone is born special, love people around you, and love yourself too.“ If you enjoyed these comics, send them to your friends to give them warm fuzzy feelings too!
