We all learned a lot about the events that shaped the world when we were students, and some of us may have even continued to increase this knowledge as the years have passed. However, there are things that are difficult to understand only by reading history books. It is known that there is no substitute for seeing something for yourself, especially when historic photographs allow us to see the past from a new and unfamiliar angle.
