At first glance, it looks like Wales' work has been created using brown paint.

However, it's actually made 100% out of coffee.

Just to be clear, she uses coffee the drink (not beans or powder).

Due to its consistency, painting with coffee is very similar to using watercolor paint.

Just like with watercolor painting, coffee painting enables the artist to paint using a variety of styles and themes.

As you have probably noticed by now, Wales doesn't have a cap on what she paints.

Each one of her stunning coffee paintings differs from the next in their subject and painting styles.

It doesn't matter what she's painting, be it an animal, a human being, or everyday objects - they all come out stunning and meticulous.

She can also paint out typography with her caffeinated medium.

This is a close-up of an in-progress painting of hers. Just look at the way she is able to create different shades and dimensions.

It's safe to say that her work stands out from the crowd.

If something you can consume can be turned into art, anything can!

What other nontraditional mediums do you think would be great to use for art?

Anything ordinary has the ability to transform into something artistic and creative.
