During the early 1950s, Ferrari was just in it infancy, but the company had already started producing beautiful road cars, one of which was the Ferrari 250. The example that you see above is one of just four original cars that had custom-designed bodywork created by Vignale, an Italian coachbuilder.
It’s powered by a V12 engine, and features an enormous glass window at the rear, giving the Vignale a fastback look. These cars change hands at $3 million when they (very rarely) come up for sale.

Everyone’s jaw dropped back in 2013 when Ferrari launched its LaFerrari, with its 963-horsepower V12 hybrid powertrain, stunning looks and incredible performance. It went head-to-head with the likes of Porsche’s 918 Spyder, and McLaren’s P1. Just 500 of those were built, but then the company went one better and built 200 convertible versions – the LaFerrari Aperta.
The open-topped supercar was built to commemorate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, and is a lot more coveted than its coupe counterpart. In fact, an Aperta is about three times as valuable as a LaFerrari coupe.

Just 10 Ferrari 275 NART Spyders were ever built, and they were only available new from a single American Ferrari dealership. The 275 was the first Ferrari model to be offered with a transaxle, which means that the car’s transmission, differential, and other parts were built into a single assembly for better weight distribution and a lighter weight overall.
Luigi Chinetti, the man who requested that the cars be built for his dealership, ran the North American Racing Team, hence the “NART” acronym given to this particular model. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter V12, and the lack of a fixed roof means that the driver gets to enjoy the engine’s sounds a whole lot more. An example last changed hands for an eye-watering $27.5 million.

Ferrari’s 375MM became a racing legend during the mid-1950s. The two-door coupe is powered by a 4.5-liter V12 engine, and won many a racing victory during its heyday.
The car you see here is actually a one-off. It was commissioned by the Italian film director Roberto Rossellini, who asked the Pininfarina design house to build him a special 375MM for his then-wife, the Academy Award-winning actress, Ingrid Bergman. It’s even sprayed in a unique shade of silver called Grigio Ingrid, and it’s a very hard car to put a value on due to its uniqueness.

Named after the legendary founder of Ferrari himself, Enzo Ferrari, the Enzo broke cover back in 2003. A 6.5-liter V12 lurks underneath its glass engine bay, and the model is full of Formula 1 technology, from a carbon fiber body, to composite brakes and an F1-style sequential transmission.
In addition, Ferrari wouldn’t just let you have one if you had the money. You needed be an owner of one its F40 or F50 models before you were eligible to be invited to buy one. There are just 400 Enzos in the whole world, and a few have inevitably bitten the dust since the car was launched some 15 years ago.
