Ingredients for Butter Croutons:
Loaf of stale bread - 1 (about 7-8 cups) (cut into cubes)
Unsalted butter - 4 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Method of preparing the Butter Croutons:
  1. Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the bread cubes and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Make sure the bread cubes are lying in a single layer.
  4. Allow the croutons to fry until they are golden and turn them over to brown all sides.
  5. Once all the croutons have browned, remove the frying pan from the heat and let them cool before serving.

These croutons can be stored in a container for up to a week.
