Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients for Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers:
Jalapeño - 12 peppers (3-4 inch long ones)
Cream cheese - 1 (18 oz) block (softened)
Cheddar cheese - 1 cup
Onion powder - 1/2 tsp.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
Cooking spray - to grease the pan
Method of preparing the Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleaning and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Halve each jalapeño lengthwise and remove the seeds and ribs with a spoon.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar, and onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Fill each jalapeno boat with the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Halve each slice of bacon crosswise. Wrap the jalapeno poppers in bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  6. Arrange the jalapeno poppers on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. The bacon should be golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
