James May's Plasticine Garden at Chelsea Flower Show was nothing short of amazing. James May, a name usually associated with the world of cars, has created this entire garden, including a tree and a picnic - from modeling clay.
Kids at the flower show, who probably thought they'd be bored, were enamored with this whimsical creation.
"Everything's wired wherever possible so it won't wilt," says James "The bushes have a base of polystyrene and steel with a Plasticine overlay wired on – there's a veg patch, grapevine, palm trees, lawn, a rockery, a pond. And, as this is James May world, the tree has both oranges and cherries on it."
Via appeals on YouTube and the Ideal Home show, the British public also joined in: "Schoolchildren made daffodils, Chelsea pensioners made poppies," says May.
