One of the most gorgeous sights in Japan is the Hitachi Seaside Park in the Ibaraki prefecture, about 90 minutes north of Tokyo. The park is well known for its baby blue-eyes, sunflowers, tulips and bushes which become a striking scarlet during autumn.
Based in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, photographer Masayo Ishizuki (Issyrider on Instagram) decided that the best way to capture the beauty of Japan is to pair up the majestic Hitachi Seaside Park and her very own Shiba Inu dog, Hachi. Shibas are among the oldest Japanese dog breeds, and the most popular breed for their beauty, temperament and cleanliness. Just look how happy Hachi is, frolicking in the flowers!
Contrary to what some may think, Hitachi Seaside Park isn’t named for the multinational conglomerate. Rather, the Tokyo-based company is named after the town of Hitachi where the park resides. It is there that entrepreneur and mining engineer Namihei Odaira founded the Hitachi Company.
