Have you ever attempted to bake a celebratory cake for that special someone? I know I have, and truth be told, I naively thought creating designs and patterns out of marzipan and icing is a 'piece of cake', and YouTube tutorials further fueled my naive delusion. A reality check followed when I realized that the best I could do is decorate the cake with chocolate shavings and call it a day, but on that day, I learned a lesson: baking is an art form. Further cementing this newly found conviction of mine are these 15 showstopping cakes created by Canadian artisan baker Darsi, whose simple, yet extremely tasteful creations will surely make you crave something sweet!
