Easter breakfast or brunch has never been easier! One of the easiest Easter breakfast foods to make is this yummy French toast recipe that can be prepared in the slow cooker.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and the vanilla extract until combined. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
Add the cubed bread into the slow cooker and pour the egg mixture over it. Cover and let the bread soak for at least 4 hours in the fridge.
In a small bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, pecans, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and nutmeg. This is your topping.
When ready to bake, crumble the topping mixture over the top of the soaked bread. Cover and cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.
Remove from the slow cooker, let it cool for 15-20 minutes, and serve warm.
