El estudio comprobó que estos alimentos, que parte de ayudarte a reducir esos kilitos de más que subes cuando decides dejar el cigarrillo, te ayudarán a crear hábitos alimenticios saludables que te harán gozar de una muy buena salud. Frutas como la naranja, el limón y el pomelo son ricas en vitamina C, lo que te ayudará a reponer la deficiencia que el tabaco genera en el organismo, mientras que las verduras ricas en vitamina A como la espinaca, la zanahoria, los espárragos y el tomate sirven como antioxidante. Otros alimentos como las papas, las berenjenas y el apio aportan el Zinc, y la avena, la cebada y el arroz, el selenio.

Entre los alimentos que potencian el sabor del cigarrillo y que definitivamente no te ayudarán a dejarlo complemente, se encuentran las carnes rojas, los postres, el chocolate, el café y las bebidas alcohólicas, ¿Por qué?, porque estos alimentos y bebidas con altos índices de carbohidratos potencian el sabor de la nicotina, lo que aumentará tu consumo habitual. Entre más comas este tipo de cosas, más ganas tendrás de tener un cigarro en la mano.
El chocolate y el café quedan excluídos de esta dieta, pues como todos sabemos contienen propiedades excitantes que te generarán más adicción, y es precisamente lo que queremos evitar.
La alimentación como aliada
Si modificas y controlas las cosas que comes será mucho más fácil dejar de fumar. En lugar de una cerveza, un vaso de leche o un vaso de agua; y en lugar de un plato de carnes rojas, una buena porción de verduras, frutas o arroz.
Si combinas estos consejos con un estilo de vida saludable, es decir con un poco de ejercicio diario y mucha fuerza de voluntad, dejar por fin el cigarrillo no será una meta imposible de alcanzar. Una vez pasadas tus primeras 3 o 6 semanas podrás empezar a consumir cantidades moderas de los alimentos que potencian el sabor del cigarrillo, aunque siempre combinado con una dieta variada que te ayude a seguir con tu propósito.

Orinar es muy importante para que puedas eliminar las tóxinas que el organismo tiene debido al humo del cigarrillo, es recomendable beber mucha agua, litro y medio como nínimo, para aumentar la producción de orina en tu cuerpo. Recuerda también consumir jugos naturales y de verduras, lechuga, cerezas y cebollas.
Los frutos secos como la avellanas y las almendras prievenen y ayudan a controlar la ansiedad.
