As children, many of us had dreamed to find a lost treasure or a mysterious time capsule. While the chances of that happening in real life are rather slim (it’s time to admit it), spotting something interesting or unexpected around you is possible and even likely, especially if you keep your eyes open and your curiosity attuned.

From a rare type of flower to a tiny animal, any such find could be seen as a small treasure. Take a look at the collection below to see some of the most exciting and unique little things people found as they were out and about.
