Shrimp Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients for Shrimp Alfredo Pasta:
Fettuccine pasta - 1/2 lb.
Shrimp - 1/2 lb. (peeled and deveined)
Salt - 1/8 tsp.
Ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp.
Butter - 2 tbsp. (divided)
Garlic - 4 cloves (minced)
Heavy cream - 1 cup
Parmesan cheese - 3/4 cup
Parsley - 1 tbsp. (chopped fresh)
Method of preparing the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta:
  1. Cook the pasta. Keep 1/2 cup of the starchy water before draining the pasta in a colander. Set aside.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry and season it with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. On a large skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and heat over medium. Swirl the butter properly once it's heated to coat the surface of the skillet with it. Now add the shrimp and cook until it's pink.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add another tbsp butter to the skillet as well as the minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not brown. Add the heavy cream to the skillet and let simmer.
  5. Whisk the Parmesan into the hot cream until it's melted. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Add the pasta and the 1/2 cup pasta water and toss. Top with chopped fresh parsley and serve!
