1. If you're concerned about hotel security, hang a glass on the doorknob before going to bed. If someone tries to open the door, you'll be startled, and the intruder will be scared.

2. You can "iron" your clothes in the shower. Simply put your items on hangers and run hot water for 5-10 minutes.

3. If the curtains fit loosely together and you are obstructed by street light, use a hanger with clothes pins to fasten the pieces together.

4. A soiled item can be washed in the sink by plugging the drain with a piece of toilet paper in a bag. Softened soap might also be used.
