A few decades back, there was a trend that involved covering up the beautiful natural finish of vintage furniture with paint, often with stark white or bold colors. We’re not here to pass judgment on the trends of the past, but we will say that today, the trend is pretty much the opposite. Talented people all around the world have started seeking out garishly painted vintage pieces and peeling off layers and layers of paint, revealing the beautiful wood beneath them.
