However, there’s another country in the heart of Europe that’s bursting with photogenic scenery - Germany! Sure, you might have heard of the NeuschwansteinCastle, the Cologne Cathedral, or the Museum Holstentor, but Germany is much more than its magnificent monuments or its great local beer. The country's picturesque countryside, in particular, is a sight for sore eyes.
Travel photographer Christine Madeux has attempted to showcase this hidden side of Germany through her lens. She spent 13 months living in the little-known Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was overawed by the sights she came across. From beautiful snow-kissed mountain lakes to wildflower meadows, she captured the Alps of the country in their finest glory.
