Travel photographer Christine Madeux has attempted to showcase this hidden side of Germany through her lens. She spent 13 months living in the little-known Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was overawed by the sights she came across. From beautiful snow-kissed mountain lakes to wildflower meadows, she captured the Alps of the country in their finest glory.
