Germany is full of famous and spectacular places. It’s a country steeped in rich history, culture, and natural beauty; you will never be short of things to see here – from stunning castles and cathedrals to quaint medieval towns and villages.

However, apart from its beautiful sights and important landmarks, there’s also a weird and quirky side of Germany that is wonderfully unique. Today, we will take a look at some of the lesser-known and unusual aspects of life in Germany. The images below show why living in this historic European country can be pretty special.

1. Buses in Germany display a coffee cup sign when the driver is taking a little break.
