This young lady works as a handler in the Gauntlet Birds of Prey Eagle and Vulture Park in Cheshire, England. After many requests from her friends, she decided to bring a camera to work and start recording her day with spectacular results:

Marvin the Martial Eagle

Martial Eagles are native to central and southern African. They have a wingspan of up to 2.6m (8'9") and live for about 14 years and are known to prey on animals as big as baboons and smaller warthogs, and dangerous ones like cobras and even Black Mambas.

Little Owl

As the name suggests, these guys are pretty small, reaching a size of about 22cm (8.6 inches). They're very common throughout Europe, the Middle East, and South-East Asia.

Griffin Vultures are very large, with a wingspan of 2.6m (8'9"). They are also the highest-flying birds, climbing to heights of 11,300m (37,000ft) above sea level.

Peregrine Falcons are one of the most common birds of prey in the world. These medium-sized raptors are the fastest animals in nature, reaching speeds of 389Km/h (242mph).

Lumpy, the Great Grey Owl

Great Greys are distributed along the northern hemisphere, and are the largest species of owl. Their wingspan can exceed 152cm (60in) in length and can weigh as much as 2kg (4.2lb). Interesting fact about these owls is that they don't build nests and prefer to use nests built by other large birds.

Vega, a Bald Eagle

The official bird of the United States of America, the Bald Eagle is native to North America. In the early 20th-century, Bald Eagles were on the brink of extinction in most of the continent, but thanks to the efforts of the U.S. Federal Government, the population recovered and the Bald Eagle is now common again throughout the continent.

Roger, a European Eagle Owl (Roger is actually a girl)

European Eagle Owls are the second largest owls in the world. They are common throughout Europe and Asia and have been known to live close to 60 years in captivity. These apex predators are known to prey on foxes and even baby deers.

Red Tailed Hawks are a favorite in falconaires, as they are easy to train and are not very hostile to other hawks and have a long lifespan of over 20 years.

The Harris' Hawk's are rather unique in the raptor world in that they are very social. They tend to live in groups of 2-7 and not only do they hunt together - they also help each other in the nesting process.

This guy is a Kookaburra

Kookaburras are native to Australia and New-Guinea, and while they're related to kingfishers, they're actualy carnivores. The name comes from their distinct call, and they have been known to accept meat from humans and even steal it off from a barbecue.

Rascal, the Pied Crow

Pied Crows are native to central and southern Africa, and are often found close to human habitats. These birds are smart and cheeky, often ganging up in groups to steal food from larger predators like Ospreys and Snake Eagles.

Pam, the White Tailed Sea Eagle

The White Tailed Sea Eagles are some of the largest Eagles in the world, with a wingspan of 2.5m (8.2ft). They are native to northern Eurasia and can live as long as 28 years.
