There is something captivating about Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital. Maybe it’s the fact that it is surrounded by the breathtaking Himalayan mountains, or maybe something about the unique atmosphere. Photographer Ashraful Arefin manages to capture some of that magic quite accurately in his series ‘From the Streets of Kathmandu’, which feature passers-by on the city’s busy streets. The city of Kathmandu is located in the middle of the ancient trade route that connected India and Tibet. This unique location is what caused the city to become a melting pot of different arts, traditions, and architecture.
