The singer in the video at the bottom of this mail has a bit of a frozen expression. There's good reason for that, as the singer isn't human. It is, in fact, a highly complex android that is able to mimic the facial and body movements of its operator, as well as the voice itself. It is called 'Geminoid F' and it has been designed by Japanese robotics experts to display realistic looking hair and teeth as well as a soft and realistic silicon skin. Some may hail this as a great invention, some recall many scary books and movies concerning the futuristic dangers humanoid machines may represent. But all agree, it is quite a remarkable sight. |
