These jalapeño popper mummies are the perfect addition to your Halloween party table spread! The spiciness may sound intimidating as the next ghost, but it goes well with the cheese and the dough. Are you brave enough for them?
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Combine the cream cheese, jack cheese, scallion, and salt in a small bowl. Stuff each halved jalapeño with this mixture.
Start by rolling out the crescent rolls and separating them into 5 rectangles, with a perforation in the middle of each. Seal them by pressing your fingers into the perforations. Use a pizza cutter to cut each rectangle into 10 long pieces, lengthwise.
Wrap half the dough around each stuffed jalapeño, leaving some space for the eyes. Brush over with the egg mixture on a baking sheet. Bake the jalapeño mummies for 8-10 minutes, then add the candy eyeballs.
Chef's Tip:
If you cannot find candy eyeballs, you can use a little cream cheese and a piece of black olive.
