Want to turn bath time into magical fun time? All you need is a bath, some warm water, a black light (ultraviolet light) and some Vitamin B (aka thiamine). Thiamine is a water-soluble vitamin that is highly fluorescent under black light, so crush a bunch of tablets and sprinkle them into the tub – it’s edible, safe, and most importantly, fun.

2. Shaving Cream Fun |
![]() |
All you need is some shaving cream, corn starch, and some food coloring. Mix a 1/1 ratio of cream and corn starch and add food coloring to the mix. This will require adult supervision to make sure the kids don’t try and taste it. |
3. Snow-Free Snowman |
![]() |
What you need is baking soda, vinegar, salt, and dish soap (You may want to precut tiny bits of carrot and grab a couple of twigs). Mix 2 cups of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of salt, and let your kid mix it together. Add a teaspoon of dish soap and mix again. Now, add 8 tablespoons of water and mix it until the mixture can be formed into a ball. Once you’re done playing, you can turn the whole thing into a cold, foamy dough for extra playtime. Just pour a cup of vinegar on your creation and watch it turn into a cold, fun mess, for a couple more hours of enjoyment. |
4. Puffy Painting Funtime |
![]() |
Puffy paint is a fun way to create paintings that really stand out. Use 1/1 ratio of flour and water, then add a pinch of salt. Mix until it is perfectly smooth, otherwise it will be difficult to use as paint. If you need to add a little bit more water, feel free. Now, divide the batter into several containers and add the food coloring of your choice. Now let the kids have fun, and once they’re done, pop the drawing in the microwave for 15-45 minutes, and watch the paint get puffy. |
5. Melting Fossils |

Grab some toys and freeze them in a deep water dish, now let them use eye droppers or a turkey baster to melt the ice. (Water with some salt works best) |
6. Glowing Playdough |

For this fun project, you’re going to need an ultraviolet light, flour, water, vegetable oil, Vitamin B, Cream of Tartar, and salt. Crush a couple of the vitamin pills into fine powder, then mix it in with 2 cups of flour, 4 teaspoons of Cream of Tartar, 2/3 cup of salt, and then mix it all until it’s combined. Add 2 cups of warm water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and whisk until the mixture is smooth. Cook it in a saucepan over medium heat until the dough can hold together, then remove it from the pan and let it cool. Now all you need is the black light in a dark room and your playdough is good to go. |
