Salmon and Cheese Pinwheels
Ingredients for Salmon and Cheese Pinwheels:
Puff pastry - 1 sheet
Canned salmon - 6 oz. (drained and shredded)
Cream cheese - 3/4 block
Cheddar cheese - 4.5 oz (grated)
Frozen spinach - 4 blocks (thawed)
Sesame seeds - a handful (for topping)
Salt - to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Method of preparing the Salmon and Cheese Pinwheels:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Squeeze the excess water out of the thawed spinach and place it into a mixing bowl. Add the cream cheese, salt, and black pepper to the spinach and mix thoroughly.
  3. Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and spread the cream cheese mixture over it. Top it with the salmon and cheddar, and roll the pastry into a long sausage.
  4. Place the pastry into the freezer for 5-10 minutes. This will make it easier to cut later. Cut the pastry roll into 12 equal parts.
  5. Arrange those on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. They should be golden on top.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds on top and serve fresh.
Chef's Tip:
Refrigerate the salmon pinwheels in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
