Reuben Sandwich

It's always fun to try out different sandwich recipes. Today, let's try making some Reuben sandwiches. These are super delicious and easy to make. They make for the perfect evening snack. Serve them with steaming vegetable soup and dill pickles on the side and you have a wholesome meal ready.

Reuben Sandwich
Ingredients for Reuben Sandwich:
Rye bread - 8 slices
Butter - 2 tbsp.
Swiss cheese - 8 slices
Corned beef - 8 slices (deli sliced)
Sauerkraut - 1 cup (drained)
Method of preparing the Reuben Sandwich:
  1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle on medium heat. Now lightly butter one side of the bread slices and spread Thousand Island dressing on the non-buttered sides.
  2. Layer 1 slice Swiss cheese, 2 slices corned beef, 1/4 cup sauerkraut and the second slice of Swiss cheese on 4 bread slices. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered sides out.
  3. Now, grill the sandwiches until they have a nice golden brown color on both sides. 5 minutes per side should be enough for this. Serve hot.
